The exotic collective Poly-Rythmo club is back at Nica with special guest: Tama Rindo, and one of its founders, Sonido Tupinamba.
Tama Rindo's interest in music goes way back to when she inherited her father's vinyl collection. As an art director she already recreates scenes and prepares her sets searching a specific formal coherence and she combines her two passions by always looking an aesthetic universe behind music. Buying an LP, the cover, the story, unravelling the imaginary of that album is really important for her. The same happens with her sets: she creates a cohesive trip without giving up her eclecticism.
Sonido Tupinamba is the selector alter ego of Julia Gonzalez, a music collector and radio host. Inspired by the selvatic and exotic roots of African and Latin American music, Tupinamba blends tropical influences with disco, funk and boogie grooves. Resident Dj at Glove Party and founder of Poly-Rythmo Club, she has shared her taste at the legendary Glastonbury Festival (UK), Soundeat (BCN) and has just arrived from Ibiza where she spent this summer at the prestigious Pikes Hotel and the brand new Paradiso.
